Victorian Inspector and drama

To launch our Victorian topic, Redbridge Drama Centre visited the Y5 classes. The drama session was separated into two sessions - first the children experienced what it would be like in a Victorian classroom, with a very strict Victorian Inspector to assess their behaviour and learning as well as my teaching!!Fortunately we passed!
The second session involved drama activities that enabled the children to learn about life during the Victorian era, particularly for poor children. This linked very well into our literacy focus book - 'Street Child'. As you can see from the photos, the children threw themselves into the activities and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was great to see some children dressed up in Victorian costumes.Well done 5B!

Street Child sounds like a great book. When you see me tell me your favourite part so far.
