Art/DT - making cushions

As part of our Victorian topic, we learned about the Victorian designer William Morris. The children have created their own cushion covers in the style of Morris. They used printing techniques and fabric paint on one side. On the other side the children experimented with tie-dye. To finish off their designs, the children used a variety of sewing techniques to add detail. The project involved a lot of hard work and patience - but as you can see from the results, it was well-worth it!! Well done 5B.

I hope you enjoyed learning about William Morris. Making cushions is a fantastic way of showing what you have learnt - and they look very good.
