Book week was a very busy week! the children enjoyed a range of activities and fun days.
Emily R writes - John Bramston celebrated Book Week in style this year we had lots of activities and loads of fun. Two guys came to our school to tell us stories their names were Phil and Gary and they were from wizard story tellers. Both the year 5 and 6 classes enjoyed 4 different stories. They were absolutely marvelous. The best thing about them was that they made the story up using our ideas so you’ll never hear our story anywhere else. They used the whole class in the story and made us sound really funny. We were all surprised to hear that Miss. Linstead would throw a hissy fit about someone taking her chocolate cake, but we were not surprised to hear Mohamed had lost his brain. Luckily it was found at the bottom of the lost property bin and was small enough to pop back in his head via his mouth. We all really laughed at the story and had a fantastic time.
Emily C also writes - Book week at John Bramston was a huge success as everybody enjoyed themselves. There were plenty of activities such as looking at books, reading books making book writing stories or hearing stories. On Thursday the school was allowed to dress up as our favorite book characters. Most children dressed up and it was great fun it was nice to see some of the nursery had dressed up also. In the infants there were a lot of princesses and superheroes. In the juniors there were all sorts of costumes some were from High School Musical. Even some teachers dressed up as well like Mrs. Khan dressed up as the big bad wolf, Mrs. Eshan was Little Red Riding Hood, and Mrs. Edgecombe made a wonderful Cruella D’Ville.
This week the class will be visiting the Redbridge Music Centre for a Gamalan music session. So check this site out next week to find out how we got on!
