Hi,
As we fast approach the end of the year, I look back with many fond memories. I have really enjoyed my first seven months at John Bramston. I have been very lucky to get a class of wonderful children, who are always ready to try their best at whatever they do. I am very excited about the upcoming year and look forward to the challenges that the children and I will face together. I hope you all have a fantastic summer holiday and I will see you in September,
Mr Williams.

Over the last few months 5W have been creating their own tuck shop. We held our tuck shop on Friday break time and we made £103:40! After paying Mr Williams back £18:40. we had made a profit of £85:00! During the preparation for our tuck shop we had a debate, wrote persuasive letters to Miss Jennings, made advertising posters, filmed our own TV adverts which were shown on the school TV system and we even wrote our own business plans! We have now decided, as a class, to use our profits to organise a class trip to the cinema! Alan Sugar watch out!

Good Morning All,
Yesterday we were very lucky to have a visit from two professional BMX riders. They put on a fantastic show and even stuck around afterwards to give some autographs to the children. The message they brought with them was that riding a bike has three advantages:
1. It is good for your body
2. It is great for the environment
3. It is enjoyable
They also had a clear message that practice makes perfect and to never give up because you can achieve whatever you put your mind to....a message that fits perfectly with John Bramston's motto, "You can achieve if you believe". Take a look at the photos, the children and I loved it!

5W Reading Area
New Skills!
Hi Everyone,
In 5W during our PSHE lessons we have been teaching each other some new skills. By doing this we have improved our speaking and listening skills. It has also helped us to realise that we all have skills that we are good at and that we can teach these to other people, a skill that we will use throughout our lives.

World Book Day 2011
For World Book day all the children at John Bramston got the chance to come to school dressed up as their favourite story character. Mr Williams came dressed as Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The winning costume in 5W was Klara, who came dressed as Peter Pan. Take a look at our class costumes below. We hope you like them!
